Headshot Photography FAQ’S
-
My main advice is to just be yourself. These images are to capture the real you, and my sessions are super relaxed and fun.
But please make sure you are good to go and happy with makeup and hair when you arrive so we can make full use of our shoot time.
You may even get to meet my lovely studio dog Mabel who is the friendliest Cavapoo on planet earth!

I just say to bring a good selection that you feel good in. Just no big logos or distracting colours.
Think about your casting type and how you want to represent yourself in your photos, be honest and remember your headshots need to represent you well.
Think about colours that compliment your hair/eye/skin colour- natural, earthy colours tend to work really well.
Oh and please make sure everything gets a good iron before the shoot. Creases don’t photograph well!

A headshot is a close up shot of you looking at camera, usually used for casting and Spotlight profile pictures.
Portraits are looser shots and can be a lot more creative with lighting and backgrounds. These are great to have in addition to headshots as they can show off your versatility really well in how you can look in different scenarios. -
